Dear Parishioner: Because of your commitment to Stewardship, St. Charles has been able to complete the following:
Please accept my thanks. We have always given of ouselves and share what we have received, sometimes generously, sometimes even heroically. But in reflecting together, we are being led to choose giving that is consistent, sacrificial and based on faith. In a word, it is a way of life consciously chosen: it is God's plan. We have chosen as our personal and parish ideal the way that is called Christian Stewardship. That means returning to God in thanksgiving a portion of what we have received. Stewardship teaches us to receive graciously and to respond joyfully. As individuals and as a parish we have always helped others in need. That is our obligation. Now we recognize a need just as fundamental as the need of neighbor or church. It is the need God has placed in us to share what I am and what I have-a need recognized and fulfilled in faith. Faith gives us access to God who is the source of everything I have and everything I will ever need. It is now time to rededicate ourselves with the same faith and trust. We have an opportunity to reclaim the peace that comes from serving the Lord wholeheartedly. Stewardship is never to be feared. It is a grateful and joyous respose to a good God who never asks more that we can do nor wants anything but our happiness. "Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God." Hebrews 13:16 Please know how honored I am to serve as your pastor. Thanking you again in advance for your past and continued support, I remain In Christ, the great steward, Msgr. John N. Suelzer Pastor
